10am – 4pm at Monroe Community College, 1000 East Henrietta Rd.
The Rochester Children’s Book Festival is FREE for all children and
adults. Kids can make FREE crafts at Busy Bookworm Place, attend FREE
presentations all day long and listen to authors reading their books in
Read to Me Corner. Many of our sponsor booths have freebies for kids.
You will need to purchase books to take them
home with you, but meeting all of your favorite authors is FREE and they
love to sign (and in some cases illustrate) your personal copy!
Will my kids actually get to meet and talk to the authors and illustrators?
Yes! At many other book events, you may see authors from a distance or listen as they speak on a panel. At the Rochester Children’s Book Festival, your child can meet and talk to their favorite authors and illustrators as they browse a great selection of books. Our authors love to talk to their readers and sign books. Children, adults, teachers and librarians love the access they have to the authors at this festival and the personal touch when having their books signed or in some cases personally illustrated!! In addition to meeting your favorite author, your child can attend read alouds and presentations given all day by these amazing writers and illustrators.
